No engine code of 0 or O. It's probably either a C (330 2V Medium Duty) or a D (330 2V Heavy Duty). Both are FT engines.
K = Kansas City MO Assembly Plant.
D20522 = 1968, assembled March 1968.
174" Wheelbase.
L = Holly Green.
F617 = F600, 20,000 lbs. GVWR
4B81: 4B = Black all Vinyl / 81 = 81A Standard Cab.
A = New Process 435 4 Speed Manual Transmission.
F3 = Eaton model 15201 Two Speed Rear Axle / 6.33/8.81 / 15,000 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.
20,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
164 net HP @ 3,800 RPM
562799:
56 = Davenport IA Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
2799 = Domestic Special Order number, truck special ordered by original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."

Thanks for the info on the truck. I do know its a medium duty 330, must have been reading the number letter. Im pretty sure it has been a grain body truck its whole life and had the bed put on in Peoria IL a long as the antique mudflaps are right. It still has ford dealership stickers on it for Heller Ford in Illinois too. Thanks again.

The VIN number is one of the most important number on a car and if we don't know how to decode a VIN, then it will be difficult for us to identify the other components or numbers.
