the oil and filter are fresh from yesterday new motorcraft 820 filter and motorcraft 5w20 I changed it after I did the injectors I put a cht sensor in it this morning and it didn't help the factory oil pre gauge don't work it hasn't since I got it I no I should have one but it just wasn't at the top of my to do list

5w20 is to thin of an oil, i suggest you go back to at least a 10w30 or 10w40. I just lost a motor that had 20k miles on it running that grade oil. that thin oil is like water and doesnt provide the protection on our older engines like it does on the newer built motors with tighter tolerances etc..

Have we confirmed where the rotor is pointing when the motor is at TDC. I have had motor not rev up due to the timing be retarded to much. i also dont recall if you said that you pulled the spout connector when you checked your timing. sorry this thread is getting crazy long.
