Brake Failure! Please Help!

and the inspectors have to let the idiots drive away with a good sticker if it passes emissions.
by talking to a few of the inspectors at the station i go to though, if they get one of those death traps in, they call the local police as the car leaves the station to get it impounded as unsafe.
YAY! good idea there!! I would totally agree with that action. I, for one, don't want to be on the rd with those cheap and dangerous idiots.

my new (the past 3 years) job has me doing a LOT of work in New York.
9 out of 10 cars there have no brake lights. drives me crazy to deal with them idjiots.
i do no more than 20 mph, and try to keep back at least 200 ft.
by with them, 200 ft is an opening you can fit 20 cars in.

I LOATHE NY mostly city areas anyway.... It would drive me insane.... I can't stand driving around in Philly anymore for that same reason, though I KNOW NY is so much worse. Many more ppl there.
Where are those pics for this brake disaster?? LOL Didn't mean to highjack this thread....

lol.... Whoa!!.....very similar to a job I did recently on a dumptruck which was also pulling a 40' trailer which its electric brakes weren't even wired up....SMH .. I have pics of that job in one of my albums. Total cost was just under 6K but still well under what shops would have charged.
Although it's not as bad as a runaway propane truck!! Glad you were so persistent. Think I would've done the same...

. I forgot to mention that they brought us their other 5 trucks to inspect . Turns out their " mechanic " had just inspected that truck .
He was just on vacation while the problem happened .
We found a few issues with their others , but none as bad or unsafe , as that brake issue . Got a few lite repairs and a couple of DOT inspections , and a new client .
