95 f150 300 6 exhaust
I tried doing my 95 300 exaust and no matter what i do it sounds exactly the same. It had a stock muffler on it i cut it off and put a straight pipe on it the second cat back sounds exactly the same and quite. Im bought a glass pack from autozone put that on same thing. Not even a little rumble. I put a flow master 40 i had on what do ya know it its still the same. At least on any of my other 300s if i changed the exaust it makes some difference. Not on this its doesnt make a difference. I dont want to cut of hollow the cat because then it will probly be too loud. and i dont want to get fined or some bs for not having one. I just dont understand.

Trust me, do NOT cut the pre-cat off (The one where both manifolds go into it, then exit in the 3'' pipe). It keeps it a LOT more quiet, and non-raspy/popping and crackling.
Just put the quietest muffler you can find/afford on and be done with it.
I6's sound like a Cummins/Toyota/Broken down tractor no matter what you do..
So might as well be quiet about it.

That's basically wondering. If you left the pre cat and eliminated the second one, would it keep the same deeper tone with more overall volume.

This is seriously the goofiest thing I've ever read. You straight piped it, and it was quiet. So to try and make it louder, you put on a glasspack and a muffler? Do you know what the purpose of those are? They MUFFLE the sound.
But Wesley is dead right. Do NOT try to make it loud, because they sound just horrific.

There are none. Only quieter or louder.

So you're telling me that if you scream into a glasspack, it makes it louder? A muffler is the opposite of an amplifier.
I guess I should have been more clear, not that you put on a muffler and a glasspack at the same time, but that you tried them both in an attempt to be louder than a straight pipe.
