Happy 4th everybody. Starting a basic restore on my 65 F100, 240 is shot. Does anybody know a shop that can rebuild the motor and do some mechanical repairs/replacements. I don't have to equipment to remove the motor so it would have to be a shop that takes the truck and does multiple fixes/repairs/replacements. Great website and great info. Thanks for any help I can get. Mark
Hi Bill, no I don't. I need a shop that can pull the motor and rebuild and do a few misc repairs too.(clutch and linkage, exhaust, some under hood electrical, poss upgrade brakes to power). I know some of this stuff can be done myself but figured if a shop has it then get it all done at 1 time. I heard 5 star engine(Glendale) can take the truck and rebuild the motor but that's all they will do(may take there if cant find a shop in east valley).
Sorry for the slow reply garbz. No not on a timeframe. Was driving her when a loud bang then a loud knocking noise. Motor still ran but very ruff and wanted to stall. Pulled valve cover off and all top end was dry(no oil getting to top). I checked the pushrods and they looked good, didn't see a valve spring broken. Nothing obvious. Was then getting oil on 2 plugs.
