I used Bebops fiberglass front and rear fenders, running boards, and valance on my 48 F-3 converted to F-1 and was very happy with them. NO RUST EVER! Planning to order fronts for my 49 F-1 soon...
how close to stock fitment were they? I have heard of some horror stories about fiberglass fitting terrible or being too thin and splitting.
I think that depends somewhat on the source of the parts. I don't think you will be disappointed with Bebops. I made no modifications at all to the fenders. The running boards were a little crooked but after I fastened them to a 2x4 and put them in the sun for a few days they straightened right out....
