fiberglass!!!
I have seen 100s if not, 1000s of F100s 53-56 with fiberglass front ends or fenders...
I want to see some 48-51 (specifically 51s) with fiberglass fenders, if you can, please post the brand and fit/quality of the products.
I might go this route and would like some in depth feedback if at all possible

I used Bebops fiberglass front and rear fenders, running boards, and valance on my 48 F-3 converted to F-1 and was very happy with them. NO RUST EVER! Planning to order fronts for my 49 F-1 soon...

I think that depends somewhat on the source of the parts. I don't think you will be disappointed with Bebops. I made no modifications at all to the fenders. The running boards were a little crooked but after I fastened them to a 2x4 and put them in the sun for a few days they straightened right out....
Also to ALBUQ F1 Thanks for the links, I will check those out too.
