Just replaced my ac compressor which froze and chewed up my belt on my 05 excursion. Day I drove away from shop, I hear a slight pop and something gives. I stop and see fluid dripping down the wall of the right front wheel well. Take it to a mechanic who tells me the tube near the turbo (have a turbo diesel) popped off and coolant is leaking. They are going to clean the tube and put it back on but that I need to replace it ASAP. I have to tow my 30ft trailer out of the campground I am in (they are all booked for the holiday) and park it 5 miles away.
What are the chances that the tube will pop again during those 5 miles? Once I park the trailer, I am taking the truck back into the shop to get the tube replaced. This is my first diesel, first turbo engine so I am a bit lost. Any advice?
