Headlight problem
I've recently had two instances where my headlights won't turn on. The parking lights are on, and the "flash to pass" (bright lights when you pull the turn indicator stick) will work, but the standard low and high beams won't work. The first time this happened I was about an hour from home and had to hold the turn indicator stick in for about 15 mintues (pissing a bunch of folks off) until the lights suddenly started working. I had to hold the stick again last night, but the lights never came on (still off). I had the truck in the shop a month ago and had them look at it, but they couldn't find anything because the lights were working fine at the time. I checked the wires, connections, fuses, etc. last night and couldn't find anything. Anyone have a clue?
For what it's worth...I hear the switch when I turn the headlight ****, the instrument panel lights up, but the blue high beam light won't come on when I push the stick forward in the high beam mode.

A buddy suggested it might be the combination/turn signal switch? When I look this up, I see that it obviously controls the high beams, but would it prevent the low beams from coming on too? Just thought I'd get some input before disassembling the dash, column, etc. to replace the turn signal switch.
