Crazy Tire Damage
Good evening all,
Crew with the Silver Turd have turned it back in for repair. WOW is all I can say. I have NEVER laid eyes on damage like this to the front tires of ANY vehicle. Had new BFG Commercial tires put on front to match the four on back that were replaced a few months before. Everything was golden for 4 months.....now chunks of tread block have been ripped off all over the front tires in no pattern at all....just random. Thought it was bearings, or something similar. Took it in to Ford Dealer while I am on the road working. They have called back and stated that they would replace the stabilizer shock up front , as that had been destroyed, and the front shocks. Now the guys are hard on the truck so I thought they may have trashed the front end but Ford said everything was tight. Ford had an idea that I just could have gotten two bad tires..I could see that. I will be calling Tire Rack on Monday to discuss the road hazard/replacement details. .....Any thoughts?

My crew at work is the same point...Depending on the terrain and the tread design, enough of a bite on the front wheels will tear the tread right off the carcass. WE run the BFG M/T tire and it happens every so often.
