7.3 idi not turning over

Hi there guys, I just bought a 90 ford truck for parts. The owner said that the truck ran, but it sat for about 7 months and now the motor doesn't turn over. I think it's stuck or something. I don't know nothing about idi or diesel engines , I just know they work of compression. I kind of want to fire it up if I can just for fun. Any clues ? Thanks

Try turning the crank by hand to make sure it's not seized. Bump the starter a bunch to free stuck solenoids.

it could be anything from a water filled cylinder to dead batteries. the big difference between diesel and gas is the diesel uses high compression (21.5:1) to heat and light the fuel instead of a spark plug.
