Angry tool down TB intake. HELP.

Dag Nab IT! Blew the small 4" plastic tube off the Throttle Body cleaner nozzle into the intake. Had the butterfly open to clean the inside. Nowhere to be seen inside. ANY IDEAS???

Tomorrow I am getting a telescopic mirror and the cable claw to see if Ican extract it. Otherwise I'm afraid its off with the upper intake.

ANYadvice or offerings of support?

UGH!!!

Ouch! What engine is it? If it's not a 3.0, you may have a better time getting at it by taking off the TB. If it's a 3.0 (like mine) it looks like the TB is integrated into the manifold, then make sure the manifold has dried out, and try a piece of duct tape wrapped around an unwound coat hanger (with the sticky side up, obviously). I have used this to pick up plastic pieces that have fallen in the engine bay and it works ok for very light things. Plus, you can bend it to best get at the nooks of the manifold.

Might try to find a compassionate mechanic with a bore scope who is willing to drop by and locate it for a few bucks. Otherwise, a shop vac with a rigged extension may be able to pull it out. Harbour Freight sells a cheap set of vac adapters designed to clean all sorts of irregular surfaces. The adapter fits the end of your regular shop van and has a slide to contol the amount of suction desired. There are wands that fit the adapter of various lenths and suction tips of various sizes and shapes. I think the whole set runs around 5 or 6 bucks.
