Brake interlock solenoid
Where on the column is the brake interlock solenoid on the 2000 F250? Mine is getting intermittent and making it difficult to get into park without having to shift back to neutral and back up. It does it about every 3rd or 4th time.

I had already found the bracket the shift cable attached to loose. The screws were backed out about quarter inch. Tightening them didn't help and doing research on other Ford forums points to the brake interlock solenoid. The truck has 335K miles. I found a posting on this website that shows what I needed.
