Hey I built this 5.0 for my 92 f150 and I put it in and got a list of codes, I've replaced the tps, egr, and checked for vacuum leaks using a propane torch. I got rid of all codes except code 22 map sensor out of range. And the truck is idling really rough, I've been trying to figure out what to do for a couple days now. I changed the map sensor and it didn't change anything. Anybody have any ideas
And using what to read the Codes? I suggest you stick to the KOEO tests/CM display until you can get a System Pass code of 11, then repeated (11), for both the KOEO tests and CM display. You may need to clear the CM by pulling the jumper when the codes are displaying.
I caution you if you are counting flashes to read the code to not misinterpret the System Pass code of 11/11 as a Code 22.
It is definitely 22. Yesterday I got system pass 11 but today it's gone. Once a day there will be a time that it runs smooth. For only like 10 seconds and the first start up of each day it starts right up no problem then after that it cranks over for a while before it starts
I actually removed the injection harness and vacuum lines and Ill be putting it all back on after testing every wire and re-wrapping it. I found a section of the harness that was melted, even though its a separate harness from the map sensor I may as well fix it

Just for grins.......
Did you replace an old 5.0 with your built 5.0 ????
Hopefully not an old 4.9 with a built 5.0.......that'd cause some computer issues.
