F350 Capacity Question
I have a 2003 F350, crew cab, 4x4, long bed SRW with a 7.3. I put X codes on the front and C codes and firestone bags on the rear. Originally had B/V springs. Does anyone have the specs for weight limits for a truck that came from the factory with X/C springs? Just upgraded my 32' Cougar for a 37' Cyclone toy hauler so we can take the Harley and lock the kids in the garage at night. Tows great but according to the orginal Ford Specs, I am pushing/maybe over the limit. love my 7.3 and wouldn't give it up.....
There are a few different things to consider, but the one that's gonna limit you the most is your pin weight. And the only accurate way to know where you stand is to visit a weigh station.
You more than likely are overweight with such a big toy hauler. Many, many rigs are out there overweight. The issue is by how much and how much risk tolerance you have for your's and other's safety.

FAWR and RAWR are determined in large part by the tire pressures listed on the door sticker. The max RAWR is 6830 because LT265/75R16E tires are rated at a max of 3415 lbs @ 80 psi.
The spring code determines the ride height and deflection rate. In regards to load carrying capacity, the axle is not the limiting factor, the physical capacity of the axle is far greater than the load index of the tires (even at full psi inflation).

I recommend you get your combo fully loaded for travel and then get weighed at a certified scale. Use a scale that measures the front axle, drive axle and trailer axles separately. Then drop the trailer and go back through the scales with just the truck. The re-weigh should run about $1 or so...
