Camper shell for Super Crew

I'm looking to buy a "New" camper shell for my 2003 Super crew, was wondering if anyone else has bought one lately and about what was paid for it? I've talked to a Leer dealer, and they have 2 models for the SCrew. One is about $1350 starting and the other starts at $800. I'd also like to know if you can have much luck, getting them to come down on price? Does these prices sound about right?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Also, any comments on how, where and how much I could sell my used shell, for a '97 F150, it is the "Tall" type, in excellent shape. I paid $1000, 2 years ago, and I'm finding out, everyone wants it for nothing.
