Skyjacker Lift Kit spring compatibility

I've kind of lucked into the hardware set for a 6in Skyjacker lift kit for my 1987 F250.

It's just the hardware set, drop brackets, bolts, bushings, lift blocks, everything but springs and shocks.

I'll have to get a drop pitman arm.

For shocks I'd go Billstine 5100's anyway, but I have a question about the springs.

I'm pretty sure can get the 6in front lift springs and bolts from the Superlift kits for about 130$ a spring.

That's a lot cheaper than the Skyjacker lift springs, which are about 250$ a spring.

Can anyone think of a reason I shouldn't go with the Superlift springs? Because that's a really good deal as long as they're solid. Any reason they might not work? The superlift kit is fairly well thought of. The spring says it's rated for the 6.9L diesel, which I have, and which I know is heavy.

If it turns out they won't work, I'll just have springs made for it, as I plan to have rear springs made anyway as opposed to using the blocks.

Thanks

You will be completely fine using another brand 6" spring. We used to do it all the time when I worked at the 4wd shop(we could buy each component separately but at a SEVERELY discounted price then just piece together the kit)

Excellent, that's just what I was hoping to hear.

And Superlift springs don't sag out like Skyjackers do

Here's another question, the instructions on the SJ kit say to tack weld the brackets to the cross member. Would it be alright if I installed the kit and then drove it down the road to a friends welder (nothing over 25 mph) just bolted on, or do I have to have it welded before I ever set it down on the tires.
