Hi fellas, i seem to have run in to a lil snag for a oil pan for my 78/79 frame with a 390, currently there is a front sump pan and tube which the pan is too close for comfort between the axle. Is there a rear sump application for a 390 ? and i have done some research and not having no such luck
Either lift it or put a 4x4 pan on it. I killed a few 2wd pans before I lifted mine. Lol.
I have the same issue kinda with my 74 highboy and my 445 build. Anyone have a recomendation on a 4x4 pan? And will the oil pump neck and the oil stick need to be moved?

i went to the parts store taday and their computer did not even specify for a 2 or 4wd, huh, i will definitely look into some more, on 4wd model pans is the dip stick in the driver side of the pan ?
Yeah dip sticks in the pan and it moves the dump a good ways back so idk how the 2wd pick up tube would work. I think I would have been ok with even a 4 inch lift & new bump stops but I ordered a 6 and ended up with a 8 when I opened up my shipping crate. lol
