49 Throttle linkage
The F3 is finally running, even if it isn't driving yet. I have noticed though that the throttle is only getting about 3/4 travel. This is partly due to what appears to be a very strong return spring on a fairly weak throttle actuating arm, the arm seems to open the throttle only so far before starting to flex. Secondly there is quite a bit of wear and slack in the ***** and sockets on the linkage between the carb and the throttle arm. Not sure what I can do about the arm but is there anywhere I can buy a new link and ***** to go between the carb and arm, this might at least take some of the slack out of it, an adjustable link might be even better? I'll attach a pic of my setup to try and make sense of this.

Holly used to sell a lot of linkage components, but I haven't looked in quite a while. Might check Summit and/or Edelbrock. If you aren't going for 100% OEM, you could swap the ball and socket for a small heim joint. Do you have a large hobby shop that caters to Radio control model airplane fliers? The larger planes use some pretty useful and well made control linkages from quick connects to sleeved cables of various diameters and stiffness, and the prices are reasonable.
