Root Beer!!!!

Actually on army bases you are allowed to drink at the age of 18, so quit your wining and sign up now, boy.

Back to the original topic though. I forgot about Mug rootbeer, first time I had that I thought I was in love but my hand got cold so that definetly wasn't the case.

IBC makes rootbeer, duh, Black cherry, & cream soda.
Stewarts has an Orange cream thats out of this world. Their cream soda is very good as well.
Jones soda makes about 14 different flavors and from what I can tell some people like them and others don't. Bubblegum soda never sounded good to me anyway.

By the way I am sipping an ice cold IBC now.

I have never touched a drop of alcohol in my life and don't intend to, however I am headed to college in the fall and that will probably change.

Root Beer!!!!

We have a great local brewed root beer here in Charlottesville VA called "Route 66"-- their motto is 'Get your lips on Route 66'. Good stuff! Made with real cane sugar, not corn syrup. Their latest ad campaign is a contest to win a ride in a hot air balloon, so the ads say "drink beer and get high"

But I agree 100% with the other posts-- Birch Beer is the way to go! Whenever I visit my sister in Baltimore I stock up on the stuff. What I understand is that rootbeer mimics the taste of (and originally was made from) the root of the sassafras tree, and Birch beer is like that but was originally made from Birch tree roots, hence the name difference. At least thats what a little birdy told me

Root Beer!!!!

Root beer was good when it actually had root juice in it, but they found out that if you feed 40 gallions a day to mice some of them get cancer so the root is gone.

Matt, I only kno wof about two iltary bases, stateside, that 18 is legal on base....they are near Mexico and VEgas, to try to keep the people form going elsewhere and getting in trouble.

Now overseas drinking laws are regulated by the local law, so it is 18 over seas unless in the desert.

Souix City is pretty good, but only comes in 12 oz bottles here, so its hard to keep in the fridge, but I always have a 2 litre bottle of the walmart stuff- 88 cents, hard to beat it.
