Are you sure a BFH and a torch to apply a little heat wouldn't get you were you needed Ryan I'm sure with a six-pack you'd be guaranteed sucess

well the problem seems to be i can't get anything in there far enough to get a hammer to do much on it. its kinda one of those things that if i use too big of a chisel, i'm going to fubar up all the threads. So i figured i'll probably use it again sometime in my life, so i might as well buy the tool.

You can get them through Snap On. Or I can ship you one tomorrow.

You can also build something similar from an old 3/8" socket.

The reason you don't want to torch or chisel it out is that it needs to be torqued when it is assembled.

I dunno. Beating on things seem to work well for me. But seriously, if you can't flag down the man in the can you might want to try Rc's idea...I've booty fabbed up some "tools" for odd jobs. Ain't pretty but they work
