This morning I went out to my truck to fix my manual gpr setup and during that process one of my wires fell on the aux battery and ticking sound was coming near the fuse box. Moved the wire checked all my fuses and all were good. Checked to see if the truck would start and I got no fuel pump sound. WTS light came on (still no glow plugs) and the truck started up hard along with some white smoke. I idled for a bit smoke cleared and went down the street and my truck could barely make it to 35 mph!!! Immediately brought it back home and noticed the OFF light for tranny override was blinking on and off also. My guess is the PCM is about to die or is already dead...I have road trip in the next 3 wks and I need my truck running so any help is much appreciated. If i put a chip on the PCM would that fix issue or would I have to get a whole new unit? Its a late 99 also.
Did more snooping around and wire moving it is the pump it is barely pushing any fuel but power is going to it just under 12V like 11.90V but i got a cheap meter so.... Some how the power went from the battery through my switch in the cab to my gpr to fuel pump??? Also maybe I never noticed but the overhaul OFF light flashes when im idle what is this?
