ok guys here's the deal I've got an 84 f-150 4*4 4sdp stick,
I know that my frame is twisted, and I'm looking for ideas on how I could possisbly straighten it out, getting the equipement to do so is no problem(other than a puller/jig) or should I just consider swaping frames which would just be a one week-end job
(maybe 2), I would prefer advise from someone who has done this but all ideas are welcome.
How about a good discription of where it's twisted at. Then we can go from there.
I have an 86 F150 4wd. I had to straighten the frame on it.
Replacing a frame rail is a lot of work. It's not as simple as it looks.

it's twisted fairly badly, at least a couple of inches at each end, I was thinking about just swaping frames but I don't have the space to get into a project like that, and there isn't really any where that I can chain it to the ground that would have enough strenth to straiten the frame, but I was just talking to one of my friends who just happens to be in the auto body class at the college and he says that they have frame pullers for fullsize trucks and that it would cost me anything other than a little down time(2-3 weeks) which is fine because I only live 10 minutes from work so I could bike it.
3 weeks for them to straighten the frame??? That's BS! It only takes a couple of hours. He must mean 2-3 weeks on the schedule before you get to the top - they could call you the day before they do it so you could drop it off in the morning and pick it up that afternoon.
