neutral safty switch?

Anyone know which wire I'd need to tap into to wire in acessory back up lights if I want them to come on in place of the stock ones? They haven't worked since I bought the truck and I've got new bulbs and I have a new pin on the column. I think a wire got cut by the PO

Have you actually tested the back up sockets? 99% of lights not working is grounds. Time to get yourself a multimeter and trace that wire if they aren't working after cleaning the grounds and testing. I'd be a little worried about a hot wire loose under the cab or the dash.

The po painted the frame or something when he did paint on the truck cuz all the wiring is painted black.... where do the back up lights ground out at? Also, would still be nice to know which wire on the neutral safty switch harness is the reverse lights hot and ground. Those weren't painted thank god haha

The rear ground is in behind the twilight housing. I have a manual so I am unsure if the NSS grounds or not. I basically have a hot from in the cab to the switch in the tranny then to the harness that goes to the rear.
