I just put Bilstein 4600's rear shocks on my 2008 F150 4x4, Do the blue shaft guards go up or down? with the guards up the stickers are upside down so I'm assuming they want them down? my stock shocks had the shafts up so I did the same with these ( shaft cover up) thanks.

 

You did the job correctly if the shafts are going the same way as the originals that you took off.

 

The more searches I do the more I'm reading the
shafts/boots should be down, easy enough to flip

A lot of shocks have "TOP" stamped in them. That's the end that goes up. I'm not sure on the Bilsteins, though.

 

My 5100's are boot down.
