Change Grille
What would I need to get/do to convert to a 78' - 79' grille with square headlights... Would I need the whole front end or core support to change or can I use my old one somehow???

I have installed a '79 grill on my '73, it's easy - a bolt on swap using your '76 radiator support with a couple new holes.
Get these parts from the donor truck.
grill surround
grill
headlight mounts
headlight trim
blinkers (get sockets too)
corner brackets (bolt onto the top of the rad support and hold the top outer corners of the grill)
Remove old grill and headlight mounts. Install corner brackets and bolt top of new headlight mounts into bracket and drill new holes for the bottom two holes. Then everything else will bolt right up. Cut and splice the new blinker socket in place of the old one. Easy.
