Modular V/8
I bought a 2008 4.6 screwcab a couple of months ago & my question will probably sound pretty dumb to everybody, but I don't know what you mean when you are talking about a modular engine? 
I know it sounds dumb, but it might help me if I know just in case I have a problem with my engine. Thanks everyone

I'll chime in since no one else has. You can go to wiki and look up modular Ford. It's the name of the engine family Ford has used for years (decades). They all share common architecture and some common parts. If you tear apart a V6 from a Contour and a 4.6 4V V8 from a Mustang and a 5.4-3V from an F150, it is obvious that they came from the same engineering shop.
