How much difference is there between these 2 fenders. The 53`s and up are much cheaper and easier to get. I would like to see a 51 or 52 with the later model rear fenders mounted just to see what they would look like.

 

They look naff.

some of the most beautiful lines on a 52 come from the matching (and horizontally level) swage lines in the front and REAR fenders.

53+ fenders mess that up a lot......

this is also why 'sagging door handles' are such a massive eyesore on a 48-52, when they're just a mild irritation on other models.

 

This hybrid truck was discussed recently here. The craigslist ad has been deleted, but this link is still active. It has what you want to see. I personally don't think those fenders look good on the Bonus Builts.

To each his own, I guess, but I agree with Oz and Doc. The horizontal line on the 52 front fender, and the flair on the 53 rear fender just don't work for me.

If it were an old farm truck and you just wanted to keep from throwing rocks and mud at the back of the cab, maybe. But if you want a good looking truck, no. At least that's my opinion.

 

No sense beating around the bush, they look like crap.

 

Here is another hybrid for sale that at least gives you a chance to make the fenders match. Kinda makes the 51/52 and 53/56 fender mis-match look quite normal.
