My new (to me) truck has a C6 and an EFI 460.
Does anyone know if I could get the computer and wiring from a 460/E4OD Combo and use that to do an E4OD swap?
Thanks,
-srw
Go look for a wrecked truck. You'll need the driveshaft and transmission mount anyway.
Otherwise you could order a new harness from painless wiring and just get a new computer. 460's never had mass air, so the computer should be the same throughout 1988-1997.

Yes, I pay for my own fuel. Granted, I never owned a vehicle with an OD trans. I'm just going by past experience as a former trans shop manager, and reading lots of posts on different boards about all the problems folks have with them.
If you've had good experience with them, great! Guess that's why we have choices at times.
How do you like your van? we thought about getting one to replace our focus wagon as we out grow it.
I see lots of cargo vans, extended passenger vans, and conversion vans. Are standard length passenger vans hard to find?
A van seems to be a good value purchase compared to an Expedition or Excursion! (I am not too hung up on saving money, I just don't like spending money on daily drivers that could be spent on my Mustang!)
Love the van. It's got the 4.9 six/ C-6. It's the LWB E-150. Bought it from original owner with 63,000 miles. The conversion was by MK III. Been to Florida 3 times and handles great on the road. Cruises fine at 70-80 mph.
There seems to be a lot of vans available, until you start looking for one, that's why it took so long to find this one. eBay has bunches of them, but I don't like buying long-distance.
I drive the van more than my Mustang, as I feel a little more safe in the big hunk of iron. My Mustang is stock, just as the day I bought it new in '89, and sits in the garage most of the time now.
