1990 F150 Leaf Spring
Looking for a pair of new rear leaf springs for a 1990 F150 2wd. The truck is stock, longbed, 300 I-6, 4 speed automatic. Basically just want something that's a stock height spring with a higher payload capacity, 2.5" wide. JC Whitney's the only place I've found with a spring that sounds like what I want. Any opinions on them or any other springs available? Thanks.

Why do you want one with a higher payload? Even though you have stiffer springs, the rest of your truck is still rated for the same amount of weight. Just switching springs doesn't mean you can carry more weight.

I never said I wanted to carry more weight than the truck was designed for. I only want them because they will give me a firmer ride. I need new springs regardless, I have a couple broken leaves on the factory springs, and the leaves that remain are looking fatigued. If I am buying new springs, I might as well get some that ride the way I want them to. Any suggestions on who makes a spring like what I want?
