Door Artwork

was thinking of adding some vintage looking door artwork based on the Grandfather's business- thought I would get your thoughts on "vintage looking" additions to the paint jobs

I think the door signage can look very cool if it's done right. If it has a story behind it, it is so much better.

What are you thinking of doing?

Two options- my grandfather had a road construction/excavation business- I have pictures of his shop back in the 50s and would pattern the door out off that. The other option would be a fictional company- my grandfathers brother was one of the original Flying Tigers and I enjoy cycling also, so thinking of a "flying Tiger Cycle Shop" working the vintage look into the logo.

I've been toying with the idea also. I think it can be really cool. Both of your ideas sound great.

Here's a quickie photoshop of my truck with an old door logo I stole from an old towtruck I found on the net;

I thought about doing the door signage first, But then I had the canvas space of the entire panel truck to do.
