What did this old man do? How did a VDH4 PCM get into a 1995 F250 Manual??
Poor old man prolly didn't know any better and went to the dealer and those "genius's" prolly gave him any old 7.3 PCM.. I would contact dp tuner I know Jody can flash PCM to updated codes and last I knew the cost was about $50, but I do not know if he can flash an auto PCM for an 02 to work in your manual 95.. A simple email could save you time and money, I would say the PCM is the root of your starting problem and like Tyler said it prolly isn't running overall as good as it should/could with the wrong PCM!! Good luck man! Sounds like a nice low mileage OBS good score!! Post pics when you can!

Thanks guys. I did email Jamis at DP Tuners to get more info on this.
Ya, the truck is very nice and I will post Pic just as soon as I get some.
The old man that owned the truck before me bought it from the dealership in June of 1995 as a Manual. he was very old school and bought it to haul his 5th wheel that he bought the following month.
He was very sick for many years before passing away. He was a very cool dude.
It is 2 tone. Bright Red body with a wide dark silver/grey strip down the sides.
But no Grab handles. would be nice for my wife.
Oh, one more thing. He installed a push to start button. You trun the key to the run possition, wait for the GP lght to go off, then push the button?????

Oh he was older then old school.
He even mounted an under dash steel gauge holder upside down screwed to the top of the dash board. All the wires and boost tube hangin out.
"got it free"
i bet the push button for start is in there because the actuator broke, and th ebutton was easier to put in than dropping the column to fix it the proper way.
Nope, the key cylinder was loss and it was cheaper to buy a push button from Radio Shack.
The cylinder has been replaced, but the button remains and functions.

I did the same thing on my Harley. Just pulled the whole key cylinder and threw it away, put a hidden kill switch on it and so no key is needed at all. If you don't know which switches to have on it would be a bugger to start, but if you could find the kill switch you could just walk up and ride off. Of course, 4 guys and a truck and you can have any bike you want anyway... so I figured no big deal. I like the old guy's style though.
That video is interesting. My truck did that the other day. I thought maybe it was because I didnt let the glow plugs warm up. Usually it will fire up, then miss for a second and go back to normal. 2 days ago, it did exactly as that video did. That is a PCM issue?
I have wasted your time and Im sorry.<!--?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<o</o I contacted my buddy that has been helping me out with the truck.<o</o The # I gave you are from a note he had left for me..<o</o Long story short, I gave you #’s that I found on that note, thinking that he found them on my truck's PCM. But what he put down was an example of what I should see when I pull my PCM. I thought he had pulled it.<o</o Do I feel stupid.<o</o I am going to pull the computer this weekend and correct this stupidity on my part.<o</o <o</o

Lol, it's all good man, don't feel too bad.. Let us know what you find, if I remember right you can see your PCM code if you remove the inner fender or e-brake assembly so hopefully you don't have to pull it all the way out for nothing..!
