So I have recently been experiencing issues with connecting to the mobile site. It works perfectly fine of I connect directly to it but if I try connecting via, the link I get in an email notification, I get an error.
My tech specs are as followed. I am running on the latest Firefox browser for android, my software version is Android 4.1 jelly bean, and I have an HTC One S.
I was not experiencing this issue till my old browser (Opera) updated and changed the style and functions. That was the reason I changed to FireFox. If I change it to use the desktop version of the site it will connect just fine. I'd prefer to use the mobile site cause the desktop one seems to have issues with resizing the text randomly so some posts will have huge lettering, and some small. Thanks.
It appears my picture didn't work like I hoped. I will screws that when I'm not using my phone.
As I described above, I am getting the same corrupted data error even when using the desktop site. It seems to only do it when I try to get to a thread via and email notification.
If you will, try Chrome as your browser. I use it on my adroid phone without any problems.
I thought about doing this but haven't gotten a chance. I vet sidetracked easily (attention span of a squirrel) So, I will try today if I can remember and I will post the results here.
So I've got chrome and I'm using it now. It appears to work fine with the email likes so far. I'm going to keep trying to see if I can get it to fail. Afterwards I plan to look for another browser, this one, just like firefox and the current Opera, don't have what I'm looking for.
So the first time, after clicking the post link it asked if I wanted the mobile site. I said yes and moved on, then after that last post I went back and retried the same link (to the traveling bs thread) and got the error.
I don't know if these 2 threads are related? I can access the mobile site and desktop site fine unless I try to go through a link provided by the email notification. Unless you mean I should let IB Renee know in which case it would be easier posting a link to this thread in that one.
As an update (if it matters) I am back to using the old Opera version and no longer experiencing that issue. It seems only happen with newer browsers or something.
