Rear end swap help
I have a 2000 4x4 Regular cab 7.3 that has a standard 3.73 rear end and I want to swap in either a posi or limited slip as this thing gets stuck in the driveway if it is damp. lol What years will bolt right in 1999-200? Any idea what a decent price for a complete rear might be? I have some feelers out but no prices yet.

The 1999-2004 should be a bolt in swap. The factory limited slip is not that great. I'm not sure you'd be gaining much.
Before you go to that expense, you might want to ponder your tires. You could install the best locker available, but if your tires suck you're still going to get stuck.

Just put it in 4WD. Cheaper than getting a limited slip. They are of limited value, I find, never helped me not get stuck once. Have helped me spin out on an icy road, mind you. Both tires spin instead of one, and around you go...
