Yup, I'm new to a Ford truck, had Chevy, Jeep, Dodge and Toyota. My brother-in-law, my best friend, passed away and I've bought his 1999F250, V10. It's in really good shape except for valves clicking. From reading some of the posts on the forum, I think I need to check the manifold bolts. I'll soon do some of the tune ups I've read about here.
No doubt the truck will pull my 18ft Sea Ark wherever I chose to launch it!
I'm glad to finally be a Ford owner and really glad to have found this forum. I know little about working on a vehicle but I sure want to learn. I'm surprised to find that I like it!
Thanks Tony, Once the truck gets here...7 more days! I'll get into it a little at a time. I bought a shop manual and, as soon as I can get my old PC working, I'll start looking at things I can do. One of the things I'm really interested in is the "tune up" optimizing the air flow and exhaust. Weird thought just hit me..I wonder if Dad's O2 concentrator would work on the air intake...see, I'll have to get to the tech forum zoo!
