can anyone tell me if there is any special tools required or any thing I should know about taking the dash apart in a 1993 f-150 xlt pickup. I am trying to put in a new cd-player. I just need to know the easiest way to do it.

If you have the factory radio, you can get the special tool for it at autozone. They look like 2 "U"s. You put the ends in the square holes on each corner of the radio. Then you just pull and it slides out, just unplug it. Then you put the adapter plug on and put the frame from the CD-player you have into the opening and bend the tabs over. Then you plug the CD player in and slide it in until it clicks. Snap on the trim piece if it has one and you're done. The instructions will tell you how. Just goes to show how easy it is for someone to steal your radio.
