Who has the best quality Parts

I just recieved a couple of big orders from different aftermarket places.....One was Dennis Carpenters and the other is the Obsolete Truck Place out of Oklahoma....I accidenatally bougth a emergency brake pad from both places, but there is a huge differance between the two in the weight and looks.

Who do you all think has the best parts?????
Also does anyone have a pic of a original pad???????? Mine was missing

Thanks

These "What is the best...?" questions come up all too often and there is no real answer because it really depends on your own situation. The considering factors include, but are not limited to,:

Budget. Why spend $15 on a brake pedal pad for a driver when a $6 version will appear and function just as well?

Ultimate use/goal for the truck (Show, street, daily driver). A replacement wheel arch from LMC is about $25 but the contours aren't as crisp as OEM. Whereas an NOS bedside is $600 or more but does that make sense for a daily driver?

Tools and the knowledge and skills to use it. A $1600 TIG welder is no good if ya only produce booger welds with it.

That's my nickel on this subject.

EB peddle

looks can be deceiving.9 times out of 10 NOS is your # 1 choice check with Numbers Dummy or Mike O they can probably help you find it,they have helped us all. By the way which one was better made? Let me guess DC 50/50

My guess is one is repop'd and one is NOS, NOS is always best when/if you can find/afford it.

Most reproduction parts are made overseas and all the resellers source the very same manufacturer, so it's just a matter of shopping around for the best price.

I lied the second is from Mac's the First from DC. The one from Mac's is definatley heavier and has the little edge around the bottom. Where the hole starts to put it on the brake

Even though I won't completely rule out buying parts from LMC for my 74 Highboy, I am somewhat disappointed with some of the things I have bought from them. Two purchases that come to mind are a reproduction steering wheel to replace the old cracked one and the rubber fuel filler neck grommet on the rear driver's side rear corner of the cab. Both parts deteriorated almost as bad as the originals within 3 months if you can believe that! This was before I heard of Dennis Carpenter Parts. I haven't ordered anything from that company yet, but they seem to be real Ford enthusiasts, and they have a lot of the original tooling as well. It's my opinion to obtain the best quality parts you possibly can.
