Can I pull crash data from 2012 black box ?
What do I need to pull the crash data from the black box on a 2012 F-150 ?
Do I need a special program from Ford or is there generic software that will show me the data like throttle position, brake psi, speed, seats that were occupied, etc. ?

Some info here, you probably know all this. I think this outfit does the data recovery:

I found a lot of the same info repeated, but nothing about being able to diy to recover the EDR info.
IMO, a relatively simple request (EDR data recovery) made into an expensive and difficult task out of reach of the consumer, for the benefit of manufacturers, lawyers, government, the repair industry and others. A massive conspiracy no doubt.....
I could be wrong. You might be able to borrow the tool at Autozone, or maybe Radio Shack has a $4.99 adapter for your iPad.
If so, I didn't find it.
