so im not familiar with this 1986 that i came across.
its a 4x4 extacab with 140k on it. rust bucket which doesnt bother me.
i has a 6.9 diesel and my question to you guys is hes having a electrical problem. glowplugs wont work and his batts continue to drain down to dead.
its a 4 speed with a bunch of new parts including a dana 60 swap
i can grab it for $800
any info would really help.
i know im not sullying you with much info but is the best i got.
More than worth the asking price just for the D60. Early glow plug system notorious for electrical problems. Should be able to straighten it out by reading this (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...old-style.html), or as so many of us do, just disconnect and put in a manual push button. If you like the truck I'd grab it before someone else does...
Batteries going dead could be a problem with the alternator. That drains the batteries overnight. Start disconnecting things until the drain stops then you can isolate your problem. Otherwise sounds like a great buy
