ok im replacing the headers on my 89 351w they are long ones but got them real cheap .ok befor i bolt them on do i put any thing on the gaskets befor i bolt them to the engine ?

Dont have to necessarily. My philosophy is, the less spooge the better. There is a readily available copper-seal gasket tack that may be helpful as it will hold the gasket in place while you futz with the headers. (Find it it Advance, Autozone). Good luck
