Hey guys..... Well Arenacross Supercross and Monster Jam is over for the year and my traveling is done..... for a while.
So i got a big list of truck maintenance and mods i will be doing periodically throughout the next few weeks/ months. As always i will be posting for questions about some topics i might need help with but most of all advice from my FTE family.
So first on the list is all new rubber bushings for all the leaf springs sway bar and links trac bar and so on.
Can anyone recomend the best kit to get ? Maby a link too.
As far as sway bar links I like what I found. Moog links, Autozone and O'rileys. Instead of a bushing it is a tie rod end style. I only have 15k miles on them so far butt so far they seem like a nice setup.
Every oil change they get a shot of grease like all the other fittings, they should last a long time. Plus I think they have a lifetime warranty through Autozone.

Everything on mine gets lubed at 5k while changing the oil.
You don't mind and recall what autozoo charged you for the set do you.
And do they work good keeping the front end from swaying compared to stk units you replaced.......
Im doing a entire front end overhaul. Ball joints tie rod ends etc got done last year and are still in great shape as i haven't driven it a lot at all.
Next are ALL the bushings in the leaf pack ends trac bar sway bar etc. along with new shocks.
Gotta get it riding smooth again its creaking squeaking and rough riding.
The idiot before me who had it put a add - a - leaf lift/leveling kit on it. Just added a leaf under the stk springs with a track bar re-locater bracket and called it good. That added leaf raised it enough to fit 315's but sure made it ride stiffer than a board. All the other lifts/leveling kits i have seen basically add a block under the stk springs. Giving a smoother ride.
I saw those once on Rockauto - then they went away - now they are back. I used the Energy Suspension replacement bushings and had to reef them down to stop the clunking. I wish I had been able to find the Moog ones at the time.
Verry common in a leveling kit. It's a mini spring pack really. It's a legal way to mimic a block but they are longer than a block. Do a search on leveling kits for a Superduty you will find pictures from many manufactures.
A Mini spring pack and a block are two completely different things. I did look at a lot of leveling kits before I put the a 2" on mine six years ago and didn't see anything I would describe as a block.
Energy Suspension! I have them on my Sway bar and Drag Links. Made everything a lot quieter. I may be putting in the front Leaf Spring Bushings tomorrow. I hope it solves my steering issues. Everything else in the front has been replaced. Unless I just have bad springs.

" Reef them down " I think the new law in Colorado is messing with your spelling . What do you mean by that ? Were the Energy Suspension bushings no good ? Everything under my front end is MOOG other than the bushings which are stk with 230k on em. They need replacing and i would like to get something good. I looked on the MOOG site and didn't see any bushing kits that did the leaf pack ends.
Anyone else protest against energy suspension bushings for the leaf springs trac bar and sway bar components ?
i think the best fix for sagging springs or to level it is the x code springs they lifted mine 2-3 in and are as smooth as ever a couple bucks more but the right fix. my springs were worn out after 275k.
