Replaced FICM
I noticed the 04 F250 was running rough Saturday morning when I left the house at 6:30 to go to a meeting. I left from there, riding with a friend to a soccer tournament, and wound up going home and leaving the truck until Sunday night. I had actually forgotten that it was acting up, until I tried to start it, and it kept dying and putting out black smoke. I made it home, but Monday morning it refused to start.
I spent part of the day Monday checking out some things and finally decided it was the FICM. I called FICMrepair.com around 3pm (my time) and ordered a unit from them (with the Atlas 40 tune). I paid for expedited shipping, and 21 hours later it was at my door. One hour after that, my truck is running great again.
