rough when downshifting
I got a 97 F-150 V6 with 47K miles. When I downshift and use the engine and tranny to slow me down (such as when towing the boat), when i press in the clutch and come to a stop the engine starts to run extremely rough and will even stall if i dont give it some gas. If i press in the clutch and use the brakes to slow down all the way to a stop there is no problem. I'm using bosch platinum +4 plugs which i put in last year. what could be causing this rough, stalling problem when using the engine to slow me down? I hope my explanation of the problem didnt confuse anyone.
