Spring is here and the truck has been rolled into the shop after the wife relinquished here winter parking spot in the garage. I finished rebuilding the 351 over the winter and finally got a chance to test fit it in the frame.
Hey Rick,
That engine looks great! We also have a 351W in our 1950 - wish we had painted our's. Those valve covers look fantastic - nice work.
Can you tell us a little about your engine? What HP are you targeting?
Ben in Austin
1950 F1 (351W/AOD)
(We love Vermont - normally stay down in the Manchester area. There was a Crepe booth on Church st. in Burlington mmmm...).
1970 351 block. Bored .030, new pistons, rings, bearings, seals, lifters, timing set, water pump, fuel pump. Edelbrock Performer cam, intake( not pictured) and 600 cfm carb. .Valve job.. This is my first rebuild so who knows if it will run! Looks pretty, though. I'd be happy with 300 HP but it really doesn't matter as long as it runs good and doesn't break.
