How do i keep my ford runing Cool/ timing question
Can anyone tell me a good way to keep my truck running cool? i just put a 3 row radiator and a new carb on my 71 302 rebuilt and I am running out of things to fix to make it run better, but I still have the problem of it running warm when I am at a stop light or in stop and go traffic some people told me that it could be my timing but I just set it the other day and it still runs warm. My truck misfires and I've been told that it was my distributor, so i am looking into getting an electronic one and getting rid of the points. dose anyone know if that could be the problem or maybe its something else? if anyone had this problem please reply because i am running out of ideas I'm hoping that when i get my distributor it will fix this problem.

Any duraspark dis from an 80-84 - 302 should fit possibly even a 86 but ford made changes going to 87 . Then instead of the hassle with the Ford wiring and module go to a GM module from a hei dist. and go to http://www.jason.fletcher.net/tech/d.../duraspark.htm to see how to hook it up with one wire. very easy and clean and it will run smoother .
