Has anyone ever dealt with any issues with the fuel cooling system?
I was adding washer fluid yesterday, and noticed theres no coolant showing in the little glass.
Inside, theres some brownish film around the cap.
System must be fairly air tight, it was sitting for 2 weeks, and I heard a hiss removing the cap.
I have needed to add some coolant a couple times but never has it been brown.
Fuel cooler also cools the turbo actuator. Could that possibly where the contaimination is coming from?
I'm guessing this isn't a very loaded cooling system, if I clean it out a bit, you think I can just refill and call it good, or is it going to need a chemical rinse?
Were did the coolant go?? Wonder if you can pressure check that system?
Good question, I have no idea.
The truck doesn't have any drip marks under it.
As far as pressure testing, I don't think it would run as much as the main system, as it runs at lower temperature?
Theres no engine light or anything.
Truck hasn't even been operated at any high ambient temperatures, or towed or anything.
So hopefully it's just low.
Surprisingly, you can actually notice right away that theres no coolant in the little window.
