The problem with using the D60 (or d50 in 99-01) out of a late model f350 is that they have the 8 lug hole pattern. You would need the rear axle as well if you don't want them to be different.
If you're doing a one-ton swap, a 78-79 Ford Dana 60 is in your future. If you want to stick with a half-ton setup, a 77-79 Dana 44 out of a F150 or 78-79 Bronco is what you need. I did this swap in my 94F1504x4. jlcsjh@aol if you want more info. Steve
