Started my truck this morning, ran fine for about 10 minutes, when I got on the highway I noticed a knock, not very loud I couldn't hear it over the radio. (I only heard it because that stupid Lady Antebellum song came on)
It doesn't really have a knocking sound it's more like a tongue click, it knocks faster when the engine revs. So my buddy looked at it while I was at work, he's more mechanically inclined than me, and he thinks it's an exhaust leak. So when I was driving home it wasn't knocking until I got on the highway, then it didn't stop until I got to my other job and parked. My drive home from that job is only about 5-10 minutes and it knocked a little as it was warming up but didn't for the rest of the drive home. I'm by no means a mechanic so I won't be fixing it myself, I'd just like to know how much it'd cost me if a buddy and I were to do it or if it's serious enough to take it to a shop. Thanks guys
