79 Ranchero Conversion
Hey everyone,
I have a 79 Ranchero 500, and im converting it from a 302 to a built 460. 460s were only offered as an option to 1976, so its hard to find what i need when i have the 79 with a 76 option. First of all, what kind of headers should I or can i get? The ranchero has the same engine 460 types as Montegos, Cougars, Elites, Torinos, and Thunderbirds, so could i get headers for those and put them on mine? Also, i need to change my tranny from a c4 to a c6. Would B&M or TCI streetfighter transmissions be better? Thanks,

Hi Danny, The 460 & 302 have different bell patterns, so you will have to change trannys too. You want a C6 behind the 460, and a stock one should work just fine.
