what parts do i need to do this job and level of difficulty. i can search the local junk yards for the parts and i can turn a wrench fairly well.

I installed "factory" AC on a few 80-90's Ford vehicles but found it necessary to have a donor vehicle close at hand. You never know you need that one widget until you need it, which stops the installation and creates yet another trip back to the junkyard.
Removal of the instrument panel was mandatory since the air handler was different. The basic wiring was in the harnesses but you needed to have any auxillary harnesses to connect to them. (Compressor, blower motor, etc.)
You also needed to have all of the different duct work, vacuum controls and control head. The engine accessory train was slightly different.
Factory AC was definitely a "bolt on" option, but it was a week long project even after you had done it before.
I would think your 05 is much the same, or even easier due to the unitized assembly techniques that were just started back then. Sorry I can't be more specific on your '05.
An easier route might be aftermarket, add-on AC. I don't know of any for a vehicle as new as yours, but GOOGLE is your friend.
