Lake Crowley Project

Starting to look like something now. Will work continue over the winter months?

There are a couple of windows and a double door on that wall. The reason there's nothing left is that what you see there is two containers halved and stacked side-by-side. The two halves in the center have had the container's doors removed. What isn't window or door on that near wall will be skinned with what was cut off of the sides of those containers.
Hopefully it'll get buttoned up enough that work can continue on the interior when the snow comes. As long as we still have access that is, I don't think anybody plows the road down to the property from the Caltrans road.

Steve, I know you won't mind if I pick up the story here.
I was in the area last week and stopped by to see the progress on "Steve's house" overlooking Lake Crowley. I'm happy to say that work is coming along. They have the job site cleaned up nicely too. I was hoping to find the owner home so that we could chat, but I missed him. Looks to me like they are going to get it all weather tight before the snow comes.
The house main floor is small, I think 800 ft/sq, but the generous overhang on the front and rear gives a lot more second floor space. I'm not sure if that will be storage or living space.
Nice large windows face out toward the lake. You can catch a glimpse of the view reflecting in the glass.
Still some exterior insulating to be completed.
Nice garage, which has a larger footprint than the house.
Nice old CJ too!

THANKS, Bill, for the follow-up. We now have just a little more closure.
Great photos.
And yes, it's too bad the owner wasn't home to chat.
Again, thanks for doing that!
Is this the project?

Yes, that's it. Just north of McGee Creek, and just south of the little green church house at Benton Crossing.

I was by there in Oct and again in Nov. I believe it is done, but it did not appear as though anyone has been living there. To the extent that I wondered if it had been abandoned or something, or at least made me wonder about the guy. Maybe now that it is built, he is killing time until he can retire and move up there. Construction is complete outside, but I don't know about the inside. Weeds are grown up all around.
